Wine and beer quality

Wine and beer quality quality seem to be bugged. 44q grape juice placed into a barrel made of ~q45 boards makes q27 wine, q48 wort in a similar barrel makes q29 beer. Unless psyche is involved, which I don't see why it would in a primary industry, there is no apparent reason for such a drastic decrease in quality.

you forgot to mention how high quality the carpentry and other skills that you have are... the ones involved in creating the wine barrels, if you have lvl 1 carpentry it mighta ruined ur high q wine press... to say nothing of the quality of tools used bonus/penalty

In the few tests that I've done, skills have not seemed to play a role in the Quality of buildable objects. We built 2 meat grinders with the same materials using 2 characters with different skills (one high smithing and low carpentry, one high carpentry and low smithing) and the meat grinders appear to be the same quality (they pump out the exact same Q sausages) If anyone can confirm 100% whether skills affect buildable objects' Quality it would be much appreciated.

As for the wine and beer Quality dropping, i can't think anything that might cause that if the barrel Q isn't affected by some skill, unless someone mixed some lower Q wine/beer into the barrel.

Yeah forgot to mention carpentry, cooking and farming 50+, all stats 50+ except psyche. Nobody touched the barrels except me. My guess is that barrels are defaulting to 10q.

also, yeah i've seen this on all the beer and wine i've made, and at first i thought it was that my boards were low quality, but i made a q70 barrel and still had my wort go from 60 to 30something. :(

were any of those barrels reused? or were these low Q wines made in fresh barrels?
