Can't do anything with autohaven.jnlp

Sorry if this has been answered before but I can't find a specific solution to this problem. Everytime I click play I download a file called autohaven.jnlp which is normal from what I have read. The problem is when I run autohaven.jnlp it just re-downloads itself. Nothing else happens. How do I fix this? Also I have java 6 and win 7. The default program for autohaven.jnlp is internet explorer which might be the problem.

after you click play you should choose "open - with Java Web Starter" - this will download autohaven.jnlp first and then run it...

If you save it to your desktop, you don't need to log into the website every time you want to play.
