I reset my computer to factory settings and downloaded hnh and got this error, this isn't stopping me from playing but it's slowing the game down a bit. This is the error

WARNING: Could not open/create prefs root node Software\JavaSoft\Prefs at root 0
x80000002. Windows RegCreateKeyEx(...) returned error code 5.

If anyone knows what this means i'd appreciate it.
Early world exploit: Put your hearthfire inside a cave, then hold shift to position a claim right in front of a cave. After 8 hours the claim will be unbreakable. Since your hearthfire is inside the cave, you can still get back inside, and leave, but nobody will be able to enter, effectively making you unraidable for the first 3-7 days. Enjoy

did you do the Enders update and log in once from default client? I know it gets buggy with me if i don't do that when fresh installed.

Can't access HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\JavaSoft\Prefs\

Useraccount settings changed in Windows? Connected to a domain (servernetwork) before? Try with deactivating User Account Control ...

I tried that, it doesn't appear to be what's causing it. : (

Do you know how to edit Windows registry? Try to make a new key called "haven" in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\JavaSoft\Prefs\ if there is none

What happens?

I spent some time looking for the problem and i found it. Appearently they added something new to java, so if you want to avoid the error download java 7 update 17. The current version is java 7 update 21.

Also this is a message to people who type * EDIT FIXED* instead of saying how they figured out the problem, WHICH HAPPENS A LOT. I hope you accidentally gouge your eyes out with a spoon.
