Crash on login after harvesting carrot?

Postby lerzby » Mon Jun 17, 2013 10:52 am

Hey, soooo I just harvested a carrot and immediately crashed. Everytime I try and login on that character, it crashes to desktop. I tried logging in on a different character and the game runs fine, so I'm thinking it was the carrot. I'm using Ender's mod and Daji's graphics pack; I thought it might be Daji's, since there's a new carrot texture that I believe is unimplemented, but I deleted the custom_res carrot file and that didn't fix it, sooooooo

Anybody know what I should do? 'n' I'd really like to stop crashing to desktop. The carrot really wasn't worth it 'n'

Oh and I tried deleting the belts files like I read elsewhere, but that didn't fix it.
Also didn't enter any houses.

For what it's worth, I crashed about.. 25m ago, doing nothing extraordinary, and everytime I log that character back in I crash. I tried returning to hearth, still crash... always crash. I can log in other characters fine though.

Server is experiencing some troubles now. You found/harvested something that you didn't before and game is trying to download missing gfx file.
Atm. somehow you can access forums with using
https://www.havenandhearth.com/forum
but not with http://
All original .res files (and default client too) can't be downloaded atm. When it gets fixed you should be able to play normally.
The only thing you can do now is to ask some friend to upload his yourUSER/.haven/cache/ (if he discovered items that you are missing) and put them in yourUSER/.haven/cache/ . The game should work then.

It seemed to fix itself overnight. I did try reinstalling, etc. to no avail. I was noticing the https issues as well, and the default client wouldn't load for me either. Anyway, all moot. As soon as I logged in to try to sort things out, someone swooped in and murdered me.

Wow, made a new character and he's stuck in an infinite hearth loop. WTF. This game is not very playable.

I didn't set any auto-hearth feature? Only happening on that character, too. My alt bank is fine.

Yeah seems to have fixed itself over night 'u'~
It was just the .res file for the carrot, since it was the first time I'd harvested one.
Seems like if you get something new, and you can't access the forums through google or something, just wait until you can before logging back in.

Mostly because I'm much too lazy to manually download the .res files.
