Strange purple flash

Ok, so, i put my chefs hat on
and the game froze for a second
or two, flashing some purple thing
and then there was this weird
icon above my hearth fire, wtf
just happened?

i don't remember it all, sorry it was
like 1 second to memorize

I don't know about the icon, but the purple thing looks like the highlighted part of a tracking circle, sans circle.
