I had it running, and it was pretty much out of the box, both on Ubuntu and on Windows.
Now I set up Ubuntu 9.04 instead of .10 because of some network problems, which don't exist in 04 but I don't geht pacho's client to work, neither on windows xp, nore on Ubuntu 9.10, nore on Ubuntu 9.04.
Could someone pls tell me (exactly) what I do have to do with those files?
On Windows, warri tols me to just run the bat file and it's going to work out of the box, no files exchanging and so on. That's not working for me, I don't know why but the whole pc freezes as soon as I click on that .bat file.... Not much to tell you about that, since the whole pc's freezes I can't tell you what exactly the error is
On Ubuntu 9.10 I had it working, and now it's not working anymore. I don't know why, yesterday everthing was pretty ok, except for the massive lag I got everywhere. The game was on 2fps, haven a CPU usage of something between 50 and 80 percent (cpu 1 was in range of 60-90 cpu usage, cpu 2 was in a range of something like 40-60 %). So to sum it up, it was pretty unplayable. I tried to buield the client all again, but that's not going to work, as mentioned in the client's thread something about not logging in because of a port connection which could not be enabled. No Firewall at all running
On Ubuntu 9.04 I do have a stable game. No Lagproblem which I got under 9.10, but I can't get the launcher working. Installed everything needed but it keeps telling me
- Code: Select all
Exception in thread "Haven main thread" java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: no gluegen-rt in java.library.path
I got the gluegen-rt in every possible java folder, in the right place, so pls could someone just tell me step by step how to set up the client either on Windows XP or under Ubuntu 9.04? I've been working on this the whole day, and I bet i just forgot something really stupid, but I don't know what :/
€: got it running on 9.04, which is good, cause the game runs smoothly even on 1600x1200 resolution, having a wheat field next to me, so the lag which I got on 9.10 was caused by the system.
On Windows XP, the PC freezes still every time I try to run the .bat
On 9.10 I can't log in because of the problem with the port-connection.
