Can't start the game

Postby Drunken_Savage » Mon Dec 23, 2013 10:42 pm

Every time I click the 'Play' button on the site, I get a prompt to download some file called 'autohaven.' When I try to open it, nothing happens. There's nothing wrong with Java on my computer, so it must be a problem with the site.

I'm just glad I don't have to pay for this game....

Try perhaps, messing around here downloading Ender's Client: viewtopic.php?f=27&t=14575

It's generally the favored custom client for playing this game. Try it out and see if the game works without the vanilla client working. Welcome to the community.

Because everything else is still running fine. This is the only thing causing a problem with it.

Cute. If you don't know how to answer the question, don't bother posting.

Pretty much everyone uses Ender's or another custom client and you'd be at a pretty severe disadvantage using the original client. In "The Wizards Tower" section of the forum there's an Enders thread and plenty of advice on how to configure it *Just requires a bit of copy/pasting).

At least some people around here care about helping others. I'll be sure to try that out. Thanks for the assistance.

Default client:
Prolly you don't have Java enabled for Browsers -> Java Control Panel - Security Tab (topmost checkbox), - Extended Tab - i guess the third block has to be checked , don't enable Java in Browser itself (Security risk) - it's only needed in Jave Control Panel to be able to "Open with: Java Web Start Launcher"

But i also suggest to use Ender custom client
