Can't interact with idol when its over a personal claim

Postby nutsnmango » Thu Nov 19, 2009 6:37 am

My village Idol has been claimed by someone and I can't interact with it at all now so I can't change lawspeakers or do any village management with the idol. Is this the way this was intended to work ? I very much doubt it....

Counter point: My claim has been claimed by a village and I can't interact with it.

This dilemma should be resolved by a dance off. I'll call it.

You should be able to if you just turn on Criminal Actions. I don't think it will leave any scents anyway.

Taking resources on a claim like clay should be theft, it applies more now than it did last map with hotspots.

How can it be theft? It's not like you're loosing any resources, since clay deposits never run dry...
Surprise.

The devs have discussed them running dry, also there is jack shit you can do to wall up clay.
Mines basically never run dry, should it just be trespassing to mine and take the ore?

Certainly, the Devs have said that, in the future, they might have resource points run out. And let's be clear here- mines, unlike clay, do contain a finite amount of material. It only makes sense to deal with the game as it is now; otherwise, we would hoard live chickens and straw, anticipating when they might be needed for eggs or horsefeed, and we would never bother with claiming land, since eventually there's going to be a new map anyway.

Why then, is this infinite resource not "ok" to take freely?
Surprise.

Because I've laid claim to it first, because it is possible to ignore my ownership of the land over and over as long as you want with no way for me to stop you aside from being online 24/7.
