Claims

I didn't think of this before, but i decided to move my settlement and not look back. just taking a kit in a boat, and when I found a suitable spot a few supergrids away, I went to make my claim and realize I forgot to declaim. I have the choice to forget about it, go TP back, declaim and spend another searching for another idyllic, remote location, or not have a claim. It's problematic because I like this spot, and probably could not find this exact spot again, since I only have a vague idea of what supergrid I'm in, and can only confidently specify what hemisphere I traveled to. One of the reasons I didn't foresee this as being a problem is because it seemed logical to me that claims would operate in the same fashion as hearths, make a new one, the old one stops working. Perhaps the way it should be, considering how much larger this map is compared to old, and also the lack of public maps.

that might be nice, i suppose. it would certainly fix the ghost claim issue.

I'm having a similar issue.

Chakravanti ordered the Innsmouthians to completely wall themselves in with only the crossroads for travel... so I can't go the few tiles out of the main palisade/brick wall to declaim a cave with a mine in it.
