Bear Bug!

Postby Raymondotron » Wed Jul 16, 2014 9:18 pm

Once I came across a bear. My computer was lagging so I exited the game. I thought I was dead because I heard the sounds of the bear attacking. Turns out, I was only knocked out, taking all my soft hit points and three hard hit points. I later encountered another one and I exited before it even attacked. I come back... Dead. This was infuriating and I cannot make my way back with my new character. Can you help?

This isn't a bug. Animals kill whenever they decide to kill. Sometimes they'll let you live and other times they will not.
This was added in World 4 due to the lack of threat that animals posed. All animals are capable of killing you if they so choose now.

technically: you log out in your client but as the server takes a moment to finish with logging you out from game (all your informations have to be written into the database) you stay logged in for animals or other players for few seconds - thus you can be killed - (not sure about: when animals attack you in that moment you stay logged in till the animal deaggroes)

I would like to add I was on seventy hard hit points and maximum soft at that time. There was no way I'd be wiped out in one hit.

This must be wrong... A bear never hit me for "approximately" (!!) 800 hp... I facepalmed hard at this misinformation...
