Crash on launch

So i just downloaded the game and installed it and when double clicking on the icon it opens up the Haven & Hearth log for about a minute nothing happens and then it disappears i am runnig x64 windows 8.1 but i have the right version of java and all that other stuff etc. any help?

Sadly i have already followed the java tutorial on the other forms and checked that nothing security wise is interfering with it. could it be a compatibility issue with windows 8.1?

Thanks for your help upon further inspection i found and old security program i hadnt completely removed that was blocking it.
