Login freeze

Hi all,

Started playing again after a years leave. For a few weeks my ender's client ran just fine, untill I tried to exit my house. Everything turned black except for my character and crops and some other stuff. Trees and ground are black. I tried to relog at my hearth fire but that doesn't solve anything. When I tried logging in with the regular client it just showed 'loading' in an all black screen. All buttons don't work, except for the options where I can only click on quit.
After a few days I tried logging in again and it worked, could play normal for another one or two weeks but now it happened again. Exactly the same thing, after exiting my house everything turned black...

I tried reinstalling java, enders, normal client, clearing java cache but none of it seemed to work. Can anyone help me?

Are u using windows 8.0?
It does this kind of stuff because dont know why it blocks some java apps and it also has problems with opengl3.0 or something like this. Ive followed all the steps borka and others gave us, but the only thing that worked for me was updating to windows 8.1. Then everything worked.

Thanks for the tip, but using windows 7 so that shouldn't be the issue. What puzzles me is that it only happens when I am leaving or entering buildings..

Arcanist wrote something about using java 7.0 because latest releases were giving problems too. Thats all i can help.

Good luck with that. Probably its just a little detail. U can paste the log of the session too so people like borka can help u. Also, follow the post about java that they wrote, and install everything: the SDK etc...

Java 7 does not solve the problem either.
How do I paste a log of my session???

Search for "haven and hearth java" and "haven and hearth" ender client on google. From there ull see borkas posts about that problem. I had the same visual isue, and im not sure if enders has that log. When u start haven a c: promt shell apears, i think its that.

If im not wrong its this, or something like this. I use another client :/

Stuff gets weirder..

Tried creating an alt with normal client and hurray, I spawned and nothing was black! But as soon as I went up the stairs I got logged out of the game. I can relog, start at my spawning place with the alt and then as soon as I click anything I get kicked out of the game again. Now I really have nu clue what to do. Btw, I know what prompt you are talking about and I saw it years ago when playing haven with my old computer but now it doesn't appear anymore..

edit in a new line in run.bat by pressing enter at the end of first line

into it and save

that way the CMD window stays open to show possible error messages (what Fenix calls prompt)

I guess your problems comes from internet connection
suggestions:
*If you're using WiFi (Wlan) to your router try connecting by Ethernet cable or change router position to get a better signal
*set port forwarding in router settings - needed Ports: 1870 UPD and 1871 TCP
*try different setting in Java Control Panel - General - Network Settings - try with "Direct Connection"
*disable active scanning in Antivirus
