Log out during lag ate my boat

I was experiencing terrible lag so I decided to log out and log in again to see if it improved. I was in my boat when I logged out. When I went back in two minutes later I found myself standing in the middle of the river. The boat is gone....

I dunno if the lag in question was a server wide thing, or just the result of a bad interface between my computer and the server.

Chances are is that it was either teleported by a glitch that has claimed a few boats in the past (AND High Q items in said boats). OR, It continued to where you clicked but due to your lag your Hearthling Sprite had not moved as of yet. OR, Your boat Sprite had not yet loaded and you did not wait round long enough. OR yes your boat has been eaten by the Kraken...
