Lighthack
Completely negates all programming on lighting, allowing someone to see at maximum daylight brightness (or better) throughout the entire screen, wether it be the inside of a mine or cave, or the forest at midnight.
Provides an enormous advantage to bulb hunters who use Pachos client. Unfair to the rest of us.

BTW: type ':nightvision true' to recieve the aforementioned benefits.

Java Erroring someones Client
You can whisper a "chat" message in game, with a repeated random symbol (i was showed @@@@'s)
held down for 20+ seconds, this message will disconnect your target immediately. Furthermore, some people are using this to engage, spam, and kill people much stronger than then. Thanks for the bugreport Cutlass! Hypocritical bitch.

I could go on and on raining a shitstorm on everyones ridiculous and exploitational parade, but lets leave those two for now, and not mention the q200+ hammers, saws, water, and trees some people have.

Yup, lightmap is clientsided. THis isn't a bug and it's well known. It might be said that it's a design flaw and they may compesante for it in the future. However, until such time It's probably fairer for it to be public knowledge light the leather & coal exploits.

how long has it been implemented? its stupid and unfair, im disappointed. thought it would be clear not to implement such crap in the client...

the current lighting is a terrible mechanic and deserves disabling

i must say, i do prefer the lighthack, not so much because i can see in caves or mines with it, but because the lightmask adds more of a haze than a darkness (at least on my computer/video card).

i wouldn't go so far as to call it terrible. but it could be better, and more interesting, and meaningful. i kind of like the feel of torchlight and candlelight. the current problems i do see with it are:

1. easily bypassable (gamma, lighthack, legitimate ways like mass torchposts or candleholders)
2. meaningless (no gameplay difference between night and day other than the lightmask and, i suppose night/day heal rates, which are also pretty uninteresting imo)
3. see above post, it makes things more grayish/hazy than dark

i guess some things could be added to make it have more meaning but there's still the enforceability of darkness to deal with.

aside from those, pitch darkness is something that only belongs underground... and even then the current subterranean light radius is completely senseless

there's a reason you almost never see games with pitch darkness

in the very dark nights in H&H found myself being pushed away from wanting to play, not being able to see anything just made it feel cruddy and i dont want to change my settings so i can see in the dark but have everything look ugly with bad coloring/lighting, this is why i do use the nightvision.

i wish the darkness was nicer and more manageable.
