Crashes after manual resets

Postby Blaze » Mon Jun 15, 2009 3:14 pm

It seems that everytime a the game is manually reset, there will be an unexplained crash around 30min - 1 hr after the game is up again.
It's happened the last 5 times, whether it was a major update or small bugfix, there ALWAYS seems to be a crash.
You see a masterful engraving by Blaze. On it is Blaze, bears, boars, and foxes. Blaze is striking down the bears. The boars are screaming. The foxes are in a fetal position. The image relates to the return of Blaze in the late winter of 2009.

how is that suprising... whenever they add new stuff, [they test it before releaseing it to us, but we find new and innovative ways to mess with it], then we play around with there new stuff and cause crashes.

Actually, that's not it. There's a highly annoying and elusive bug in the server which corrupts memory from time to time, and for some reason, it seems extra prone the raze some malloc fence which triggers abortion when shutting down. See this thread for more info.
