Since the server is about to get a reset, I thought it might be a good idea to 'test' thievery. I discovered that trying to harvest crops on village territory doesn't work. I get the progress bar like normal, but when it completes I get the message, 'this land is owned by X.'

Edit: This also appears to be true on claims.

That makes a lot of sense. I guess I didn't think about destroying someone's farm, since I was doing it for food.
