Can't play the game?

Postby IndonesiaWarMinister » Thu Jun 18, 2009 10:58 am

Greetings,

I have heard about this game from my friends over on the B12 forums...
I have decided to try this, and as I has already have Java, I register, email-activate it, then click the 'play' button beneath the logo.

I choose the Open With option, using the Java(TM) Web Start Launcher (default)
It downloads with no problem at all, but..

When it finishes, it raises an error like this 'Failed to validate certificate, The application will not be executed'...
Can any admin, or moderator, or any player, help me? I really wanted to play this wonderful game...

That sounds quite weird; I'm pretty sure our certificate is supposed to be valid. Does it say anything more, or is it possible to obtain more details about the certificate validation?

Actually...
The one that's failed is the

The game uses OpenGL, right?

Edit: The Jogl API is referenced by the Java WebStart, right? It's not from the client itself?

Huh, so JOGL's download site is broken again? It has happened before, and I'm starting to think this won't be the last time. I think I'll look into hosting a fixed version of JOGL on our own server. Until I do so, though, I don't think it's worse than that you should have to wait. The JOGL guys should, hopefully, fix it sooner or later.

By the way, though; you may want to check your own local system time and date. Since the validator complains that the certificate is out-of-date, it could just be that your own system's time is set incorrectly.
