Mining h4x

Postby Jfloyd » Fri Jun 19, 2009 3:10 am

Well, I'm digging in my mine, and I hit a part that I can't dig through. I figure its the edge of the mine. So I dig north (I was digging east before) Then I clicked east and it went through. I have to keep repeating this though. Am I doing it wrong?

probably not, you've likely hit the edge... the edges run orthagonal (Top, right, left down) on the main map, which is NW,NE,SE,SW on the minimap, and the way the tiles work it looks like a jagged pattern

Ok. So that'd be why I can go zig-zaged. :3 Thanks man

Actually, no. They run parallel to the actual cardinal directions, and should therefore be straight lines. I do find the issue quite weird.

It makes sense when you consider the grid layout.

So, I'm doing it wrong?
If so, I'm going to continue to dig my maze out like this in hope it loops to the other corner to really confuse people!
