I took a while to read all of the FAQs (and PAQ) I could find, and run forum searches for what I'm about to describe, but ultimately I didn't have much luck. So first of all, apologies if any of these questions have previously been answered!
I just stumbled across this game today and am very intrigued by it. I'm slowly fumbling through various issues and problems, but gradually figuring it all out. However, I'm really struggling with the small size of the interface. I would prefer not to have to squint so much to see what's going on, but I haven't found any ways to edit the resolution or make the viewing area bigger or just more zoomed-in.
My other problem is that sometimes, when I first load the client, I will see a flicker (perhaps only 1 frame) of the title screen, and then the window will go either black or white and remain that way. The graphical cursor is still visible and moves around as expected, however, I cannot see anything else in the window. Occasionally, this problem will fix itself if I hide the window for a few minutes. Other times, I'm forced to use taskmanager to end the javaw.exe process because closing the window with [X] does not work. This problem only seems to happen 50% of the time and the window will flicker very quickly between black and white if I move it around (it flickers like this even when the view is working).
Sorry for the long explanation! But I'm hoping it will be helpful if I give as much detail as possible... I'd appreciate any suggestions or help with any of the above, but the most important thing for me is the view size/resolution issue. I am aware of the IRC-enabled client and its ability to change the res, but I'm not sure this does what I need. I've also heard that it can be laggier than the 'standard' client, which is already quite laggy, so if possible I would prefer to stick with the official one unless I have no other choice.

Oh, I do have one more question... and I feel rather silly asking it, but here goes...

Thanks for any help! In the meantime I will keep looking around and trying to figure it all out.
