Desktop link not working anymore

Postby Vanigo » Sat Jul 04, 2009 8:32 pm

After the latest reset (which lost me an entire mining run for the second time in two days arghlebargle), the installed H&H shortcut on my desktop doesn't work anymore.

What, more exactly, do you mean by "doesn't work"? I've been looking around in the logs, and I can't find anything suspicious at all.

On my Macbook it didn't work after the update right away, but it was fixed by deleting the shortcut and making a new one. Maybe its just random bad luck?

When I click on it, the splash screen comes up, Java warns me about the digital signature and asks me if I want to allow it to run... and then nothing happens...
Except now it works fine. I know I wasn't just accidentally telling it to not run. Maybe because I ran it from the webstart thing between then and now?

The JNLP clients out there do not seem to be completely flawless, I have to say. I've also seen really weird problems where, for instance, it would refuse to link with JOGL even though it successfully downloaded it and other strange things. I can only hope that Sun continues to improve theirs, at least.
