Totem lost due to crash, cant make new one

I have finished building my totem a few minutes before a server crash. After it rebooted, my totem was back to the unbuilt state. When i finished building it again, I got an error message saying "You cnnot have more than one spot", and the totem disappeared.
It seems like the fact that i have a totem has been saved on the server, but the totem itself was lost because of the crash.

I don't have this problem, but I would like the ability to make more claim totems... Can you haxxor my character so the totem count goes back to zero and I maintain my previous totem?

I'm not entirely clear on why they changed it to one personal claim per character anyway :/

I'd say 2 claims for normal characters, and more for village leaders (As soon as there is a village member option on the claim.).
