Having trouble connecting on Mac

I am currently running the latest version of Snow Leopard and have checked to make sure Java is up to date and it is. Unfortunately I am still having trouble connecting to the game, it will launch fine but when I try and log in it gets to "connecting" and then says I cannot connect to the servers. Is anyone else experiencing this or does anyone know a solution? Thanks in advance!
