Dreamcatcher made with string yet repaired with yarn

This seems like a pretty pointless material to repair a dream catcher with when you could just make a new one with one string instead of repairing the old one with yarn.
Seems to me like it was a simple mistake made when implementing the dream catchers and a rather easy fix.
