Pepper: quality, amount, effect

Postby Zebnon » Sun Jun 27, 2010 11:35 pm

After testing.

base FEP 16.4
+pepper made of 5 drupes = 36.2 FEP (quality 26)
or
+pepper from peppermill (quality 46) = 35.7

is it bug? If it is not bug, i am sking what the point to waste 10 drupes in the mill?

That was, indeed, a bug. It turns out that the pepper mill currently applies pepper of quality equal to its own quality (not the quality of the pepper in it). The pepper shaker was likewise afflicted. It will be fixed after the next server restart. Thanks!

I don't like bringing back old threads but was this ever fixed? I'm still having problems with them. Have an old pepper shaker I tried to discard and it wouldn't. I had to just place it in a container and forget about it.

I have not tested, but I have the feeling that the peppershaker gives better outcome than the mill, maybe it is because the mill caps the pepper and does not average it, but gives the lowest grain Q and the shaker is only capped by the quern.
Maybe we get lucky and someone has some numbers?. :D

I use the empty containers in the table as symbel items and they give nice bonuses, and end up vanishing like the other items but take long time so they seem to me to be usefull. Ofc Im not an experienced player and still dont know how to combine symbel items and also I can not use gold or silk items, that must give better bonuses.
