Statue bug.

For some reason or another, the statue I just built near the herbalist tables and kilns in Bottleneck, gives out a red ZoC instead of a blue one. I assume this means it's not part of our village, as I'm still in the village, and a red ZoC is normally what I see for other village authority objects. I hope this can get fixed soon, as we may not be able to use our kilns or herbalist tables until it is.

If it's anything like the very similar authority flag bug, try reloading the area by entering/exiting a building or logging in/out.
You see a masterful engraving by Blaze. On it is Blaze, bears, boars, and foxes. Blaze is striking down the bears. The boars are screaming. The foxes are in a fetal position. The image relates to the return of Blaze in the late winter of 2009.

Yep, it's showing as blue, now. Thanks for the tip. :)

Is it really a bug? I thought it was a feature so you can see what area is new.
The ones who see things differently.

You can praise them, disagree with them, quote them, disbelieve them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can't do is ignore them.
And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius.

Well, it never happened with any of the other statues or banners I made, so I assume it's a bug. If it is a feature, may I suggest a different color than red? Yellow, perhaps? Red is the color of hostile ZoC.

Yes... a "feature".

On behalf of Jorb and Loftar, we'll just call it that for the time being.

In regard of this "feature"
It has to do with freshly spawned village claim producing stuff not checking who's friend or foe and always being red...
I think its client side as the claim works properly.

It's an issue caused by the client side data structure for map overlays not being properly maintained by the server. We actually even mentioned this issue in the original dev post, although I can see how it wasn't obvious exactly what "update issues" we were talking about. This was it.
