I now apparantly dont know how to light a fire, how to build a simple branch bed nor how to unlock the ability to build houses xD They don't seem to be unlocked with the same triggers as before? I have all the skills that makes sense to me and I have found all the sensible mateirlas

Edit: I've got the skill for fishing and havent unlocked the rod either, what on earth do you need for a rod? xD

You will need wood blocks for both houses and fishing poles, so if you haven't chopped up a log yet.....

Lighting a fire requires 2 sticks. Use Adventure | Light Fire which creates a firebrand. Right click a a campfire, fireplace, kiln, etc with your firebrand to light it.

There currently are no spruce beds anymore. You don't have to sleep

Fire: After buillding anything that needs fire (campfire, kiln etc.) You need to have 2 branches in your inventory and use "Light Fire" from the Adventure menu. Your character will try to make fire and if you're souccesful (because it may go wrong), you will have a firebrand as your cursor. Then you need to right-click anything you want to use fire on.
And about not being able to build things - I don't know. You probably missed something and haven't discovered something yet. For a log cabin you need 80 wooden blocks, 40 boards and 20 boughs.

Mirkwood logs are pretty easy to find outside the starter spawn zone. Can't make boards, can make blocks.
