Yeah, the game I was talking about was H1Z1. I haven't played it since the 'repair' update and the game became all about 'if I had a hammer' .. so they could well have implemented it since, and other games I've played with voip you can block individuals but I've not needed to as yet. :)

Because it already is?

Amanda44 wrote:No, in that particular game you can only mute or lower sound in general, not on individuals, which means you lose the game sounds, which you need.
There are a lot of ppl asking for it though so maybe an option will be introduced at some point. :)

That is incorrect. You can both control individual sound levels per person, as well as block a person completely.

This only works against people who have no clue what they're doing, SL provides tools to easily deal with this situation.

No worries ... It made me go to the Daybreak site and ask, lol, and I've just found out there is a way to mute individuals, it's just not on the direct options, you have to go into some command panel and type changes into it. So, at least I know for next time. :D

Also, sorry if I confused everyone as you were talking about SL, but I was replying to shubla in connection to voip in general and I did start by saying, 'in all the games I play ...'. :)

The average player interaction is a murder alt trying to kill some poor random in the middle of nowhere and going 'get good scrub' and 'it's a PVP game' if people say this style of gameplay is undesirable

A voice system would be interesting for haven.
Early world exploit: Put your hearthfire inside a cave, then hold shift to position a claim right in front of a cave. After 8 hours the claim will be unbreakable. Since your hearthfire is inside the cave, you can still get back inside, and leave, but nobody will be able to enter, effectively making you unraidable for the first 3-7 days. Enjoy
