Come on... 16Gb, 4 of which are purely for Amber and nothing else apart OS is running. It's not swapping and even GC hickups aren't that bad. It's just rowboat sound and lag together are too much for an old fart like me. :)

I am aware. The "optimal" number really depends on the hardware though. In my case the sound is fine. The problem is only in the mind. The plea for help was just a joke...
