Pretty basic gear, to be honest. It was most valuable in terms of the leather spent for +surv gear and a backpack XD
I'm a little drama queen-ish, aren't I?

got stuck with a neat pair of fell slashes though, which is unfortunate 'cause I only have one head to slap a bandage on.

Why do you have your leather on yourself and not on a logged off alt if there is no pally yet?
If you had a pally, were you so far away from your home that you couldn't run on time? Did they have horses, did you forget to prepare rawhide?

You should always have a backup plan ready, never stray too far from home. And even if there is no pally yet, can't you just lock a dirthut, rush in, drop combat timer before they can destroy/pick it and log off safely? There's so many failsafes you can prepare. Also a single boat on a nearby river or such (Risky if they are already on your ass, don't risk KO in water)

I assume he means leather that went into leather patches and hide that went into hide layers
