Part 1: Of saying hello and Bats

"You think living alone would get boring."

Image

This is my first entry in this, I have lived where I am for a good while now. Past those that do know where I live already, I am not telling. For my own safty, I do hope you understand. Yes I am well off at this point, I have hunted a local mountain for ore when it was new, found some gold and silver among the builders. I have mined and found tin and copper, among others. There is always something to do. So each time I add to this ill explain a bit of my life.

Even if you make a stone thrown out of cat-gold, its not always all glittery.

Yes that is a pic of me in action, prospecting, hunting and learning all at once. I realized I need to be able to hunt with out well, help from another. So in the interest of my own learned and enriching my diet, I went to punch bats to death. Something pleasing about doing that, the small chase, the squeak they make every time you hit them hard in the nose. The blood they spatter as they run. I am glad I did, I got a few flashes of skills, something I have yet to fully think on how best to use.

This is after I refilled the steel I am making, worked my silk. But this ill get into on another date not everything can be told at once, nor should it.

Image

After nearly filling my cub-board set aside for bats I will later cook into food stuffs of some sort. You know drying the wings, grinding it up or in this case spit roasting the last bits of the last batch. So soon ill have some lovely spite roast bat meat to eat while warm, not the best but times call for what is needed. Lately the amount of meat flowing threw has reduced some. Though I do happen to have livestock suck as hows, horses, sheep, chickens and my newest add Rabbits. Cute fluffy little things that they are.

Speak of rabbits, I might need to go and hunt some soon....

(sorry this is kind of short but it is my intro and I will be easing into it.)

Part 2: Of horses and Rabbits

"The art of cooking some times takes a horse ride"
Image

Hunting the bats reminded me I should hunt some rabbit, and as I happen to have a horse, it is the best way to hunt rabbit and any other small critters I might run into as I go. I double check my saddle bag to ensure my normal set of tools and items that i always bring are there just in case, I mount my horse and walk out my gate. I note to myself I always look for puffball mushrooms among a few others.

I start out my gate and start looking to trample any and all small animals I do want, aiming to get mainly rabbits.

I quickly find some hedgehogs that I haply let my horse flatten as it pleases, giggling a little as I then scoop them up into my pack. I keep going till I hone in on my 2nd rabbit. My horse shale have lots of fun today. I love seeing the land and animals as I walk around, something about wondering around in the wild that is fun. Even better when you can come home with a hoard of goodies. I might be breading rabbits, but flatting them with a horse has a level of satisfaction that breeding does not. But some times both have there enjoyment so I take them as they are.

I keep going taking my time to watch threw the plains, and many forest that are close to my home, combing a few of the many beaches. I pick up two lovely puffball mushrooms, wish I found more. I nab a bunch of squirrels as well as rabbits as I carefully move around then flatten more and more of the rodents and add them to my pack. Sadly as I keep going I forget that U still have some space in my saddle bags. But I do manage to fill my backpack up and head home.

As I place the dead but still fresh rodents into there marked cupboards. Nearly filling up my rabbits ones, as I smile. Thinking of the pies or other items I can make with this hall. The tails I will likely end up staring at for hours off the squirrels. I let my mind wonder a moment, before I remember I have some steel being made that likely needs to be refueled. So I rush off and add the coal that. Now I am just standing hear Thinking about my herb garden, some of the herbs I am growing are not meeting my standards as useful as I thought.

(ill do my best some days ill have more then one update, some ill likely haft to skip or just have one. But I do hope my story telling gets better and better as I go. Both of the big items today wear ones I have been holding off of lol.)

Quality story!
“We still, alas, cannot forestall it-
This dreadful ailment's heavy toll;
The spleen is what the English call it,
We call it simply, Russian soul.”

An idea to consider: Tedium, a Feature.

Don't ever use photobucket for image hosting. I'd personally recommend Imgur instead, but please just use something other than Photobucket.
