Haven is almost 10 years old !! celebrating its phenomena

damn man time flies i remember haven launched just before my last year of school started

It help up and is holding for more than many AAA nextgen blockbuster things ,, and if haven and hearth legacy was a person it could have legal sex in many countries as it is 16+ yo ??

not to mention the great community and interpersonal bounds forged in the fires of teamspeak 3

for many haven and hearth became a part of their identity

for me personaly the original legacy haven shifted focus onto sandbox survivals which were almost none back then

i wonder if the creators experience the sonder of being a force shaping other people lives, even if "only" through a videogame

"sonder"
Definition (from The Dictionary of Obscure Sorrows by John Koenig):

"The profound feeling of realizing that everyone, including strangers passing in the street, has a life as vivid and complex as your own."

Though "sonder" specifically focuses on the complexity of others' lives, it naturally leads to the awareness that your own actions, words, and existence might ripple into those lives—even in ways you don't see or understand."

this topic is a shitpost yes

a stream of consciousness

I doubt any veterans are still around who play this game.
10 years ago and play or posting this long to haven would be full autism

I started early 2011, having heard about the game from a guild member in another game. Character creation was so obtuse I created four or five in the space of half an hour, thinking I must be overlooking something. No hints or tips or quests to get you going, just dropped naked in the world, wondering "now what?"

I daresay ninety percent of the people who play this game quit within a month and never return. The rest, afflicted by some strange insanity, return world after world to fuel our addiction to this quirky pasttime.
