My first day was a blur, though I do remember meeting some snake group or something.

After that it was figuring out what controls work and what was new, figuring out which forigables gave what and planning. Eventually stumbled onto a place with two caves in case someone grabbed one first, now I'm in the process of trying to claim both for protection. Sadly, I don't think I'll keep the place, not enough room for farming an walls.
But I digress.

Never really joined a group on here before, only had one of my alts join a village when world 7 was over 3/4th done with. I might like working with people, but some of the experiences so far have been... problematic.
I got my own way of doing things, and when people ignore my opinion doing whatever... kinda irritates me... A LOT. :x

My group walked around in a chain following each other with each personsaying "hi" "ho" in order. We were also asking everyone if they've seen Snow White.

You're going to bump heads a lot with villages then, for better or worse. My group already hates me because I keep throwing out bones and low quality curios because we have cupboards full of better ones.

I am still wndring around, I stay looged out as much as possable since I dont or wont get much play time anymore. But I am starting to get the hang of things, been making a lot of curos with feathers atm and ya noticed a thing or two. I have yet to realy leave my starter area, which looks more like the end of the world old haven atm lol.

Keeping them is worse than throwing them away, as they drop the quality of everything we make with them. As we hunt bigger and bigger animals, make better tools, and raise our survival everything we make gets better by the day. It may not sound like a lot, but dropping the quality of Seer Bones by 8 points is enough reason for me to toss out chicken bones we got on day 2. It's the curiosities made from these lower quality items that I throw out too.

Hey Tech, Gotta idea for ya.

Take those low Q curios, give them to an alt or the explorer dude and have them/you stuff them into every old stump and hollow log you can find. It'd be like Easter! Be a good bunny, think of the children.

[To bad we don't have gunpowder, that'd make those stumps REALLY useful then! Place ya bets people!]

That sounds cute and like it'd make a lot of peoples day. I might do that and maybe some spare stone or birchbark.

The solution to bad villagemates is to commit a crime against known killers and set up your hearthfire right by theirs.

TeckXKnight wrote:My first day was spent more on skype than in the game. Organized location efforts and mapping and we set to work locating one another. Quickly figured out that the starting area was tiny by deducing that all of the hearthfires were centralized in one area and became non-existent in any direction after a short walk. Took a bit to locate everyone even with all of that but we found each other and we started setting up our home.

Tell the truth, our first day was spent on Skype discussing whether Projeer should let his girlfriend stick something in his ass.....

I started playing again. I made an axe. Found a cave. Found a bat. I think I'll wait for a few more tweaks.
