If you didnt meet bad people in haven and yyou have played for 4 years you probably havent left the starting area.

I didnt play for 4 years straight, that's a point... Mostly on and off, but I woudlnt say I never left the starting area

while foraging for taproots i was attacked by bats in the open world. i didnt even see them because the minimap just showed taproots and i guess it was hiding the bat icon. well played devs. i have learned not to trust anything, especially seemingly safe taproots
