I did spawn at my old heartfire, after inherit.

Can you spawn at your claim somehow? Or do you have to find it again?

Yes, if you inherit (click on your tombstone before clicking on the fire at the Wizard) you will go to your old hearthfire. And it works if you accidentally make a new character and don't inherit, you can make another new one and use them.

So I just tried this and I didn't go back to my old hearth fire. I clicked the button for inherit on the tombstone and had a little cloud effect cover my body, named my new character, then entered the fire but started at a new location nowhere near my old one as far as I can tell. How do you respawn at your old hearthfire?

If your old hearthfire was destroyed you spawn randomly.

Some mechanic could be added that you can see direction of your personal or village claim. So if your hf gets destroyed you know way
