Theres no skybox because you cant see sky when using default client. But theres reflection of skybox on water. You could ask somone to make skybox for you.

Seems like they said they're going to shoot for one to two updates a week, not always do two. Up to this point, it has been massive number of bug fixes with a couple of extras each patch.
