Experimenting with shield designs, not satisfied yet:

And an earlier painting from the other thread:

My shields are not nearly as gorgeous as barra's, and it is my deep belief that just taking a random picture of a "dank meme" or "anime character" and shoving it into the game is not nearly enough to be considered "art". Just comparing DaniAngione's simple yet perfectly fitting artwork for his mountain retreat with pixelated acid trips that ingame dithering engine makes from photos and movie screenshots supports my opinion (however, it's just my opinion, and, I'm sure, someone already made a dick pic into a village banner and is enjoying the view very much).

Being a weaponsmith of my group, I'm more focused on shields fitting in game and being simple yet distinctive. Here are some of the latest designs along with the first attempts. I'd really appreciate some hints on how, for example, Barra managed his artwork to look so high-resolution and how can one do so with basic tools like photoshop.

I like that, I've always wanted to create a bunch of uniform shields for my village.
