I'd use the term "approve" rather than "like" if my positive response it related to actions. That's "liking for logical reasons" for me. I am having a hard time visualising a situation where I would like someone for a logical reason without it being related to actions of said person.

And what's wrong with 2038?

So I guess then you do approve of this Russian Putin?

To some extent, I give his actions credit for being beneficial in certain areas. But no, I can't apply "approval" to him, mostly because all the media noise and propaganda being thrown back and forth from every possible source. Simply put, I can't approve or disapprove based on hearsay; I can judge and evaluate only subjectively.

Why do you assume so? I live in an enclave of Russia, but it's still Russian territory.

I assume a Russian will have more solid opinion of this Russian leader. As outsider, I think it is hard for getting some ideas about it because I do not witness this country. And the governments will generate propaganda. I imagine it is maybe a bit easier to know what is just lies if you are present in country, but maybe it is still not easy enough.

I have an opinion, ofcourse, but it has nothing to do with liking or disliking. And to elaborate on that matter I'd have to write an extensive article, explaining my reasoning and thought process. Short version I've already stated above.

As for ease of forming an opinion - it is more complicated the more understanding you have of processes in society, media and politics, such is a paradox of critical thinking. Everything becomes multi-sided, you see justifications of seemingly wrong things and deep negative consequences of seemingly good things. It all boils down to your subjective values system, so... yeah, I kinda stopped trying to form a solid "opinion", i just evaluate dynamics.
