Wurm existed some years before hnh. And I think wurm inspired hnh? Or was part of it? Atleast jorb mentions it sometimes.

Wild Terra clearly is inspired by H&H/Salem

P.S. Wurm and Ultima before are the daddies of sandboxes games....but H&H is way much different, his grinding is way much clever

It existed way before H&H. Like decades before.

I know. That was the joke.

Clearly this two games have copied some key features and have been inspired a lot by Haven (not really in a good way). Do you know more?

I enjoy Life is Feudal's features that it drew from Haven. What flaws the game has have been eroded as the dev team continues to develop their ambitious project.
They have over a dozen people working on the game full time, including a longtime HnH community member.
The game has grossed ~10 million USD, after all.

Ahh, nice little post. We need more active posts for games that are like HnH, as I my self have gotten very bored and very annoyed with the game!

WayWard is a game I need to look into, even more so its on Steam

UnrealWorld is quite nice, not a "Oh wow thats 90% HnH!!!" but its a good bit alike to HnH.

Wild Terra looks fun, but Im not getting into another HnH unless it has PVE or a private server option (Like Wurm does (Least the Unlimited one)

Catalsysm is a great one, lots of mods, devs are active (Stable has been stale for a year now, but the exp branch is updated nightly, has all kinda new things, so be sure to get that one instead of Stable)

Dwarf Fortress, as always the King of Sandbox (Unless you count... Ehh, even minecraft looks unsandboxy compared to DF, oh wow I can place a dirt block here, sooo sandboxy...), but lets be honest, its crazy hard to get into, so use title packs (I perfer the lazy newb pack) entil your hardcore nuff to use ASCII

Rim World is nice, bit like DF, much easier to get into, and has guns, lazers, aliens, and HE rats.

I guess ARK: Survial Evolved kinda fits, not much, worth saying something about it for those who are living under a rock (Very populur game right now, in good and bad ways)

Project Zomboid, in a sense once again...

EVE: Online, for that freerange PVP and player driven stuff, also going F2P soon... (No idea how thats going to work out)

Oh, also Wurm, still need to play that one...

Well, thats all I can think of, but lets be honest, most of you guys already know about these games, most of them are famous

Lets keep this thread alive, I personally find that finding other games that are like HnH important, since Im finding the game more and more hostile daily.

Thanks for reading, everyone have a nice and safe day! :D

Edit: I left a few out because of how hard I was thinking, but some of the other posts fill in what I missed, so go read those!

Not every survival game has close features of Haven and Hearth.
I believe that Haven and Hearth draws inspiration from Unreal World.
Cataclysm draws inspiration from Project Zomboid.
Rimworld draws inspiration from Dwarf Fortress and is more simulator than anything since you control multiple colonists. Teck even ended up with one colony with its own version of a tantrum spiral.

Also, feels like this thread is going to be another "Games like Haven and Hearth" thread.

Wurm is the best for the crafting system...

It was not my purpose....i guess we can tell, untill now, that the games ispired by H&H are only two: LiF e Wild Terra...

P.S. Dwell a bit, but it's a more generic game...and not realesed yet.

Has no one mentioned Stardew Valley yet? Because if I recall correctly it's pretty similar in which u can farm, fight stuff, and have quality on crops and items. Those are pretty much the only similarities though unless you are comparing it to old hafen with pixel graphics. In which case Stardew also has those.

That game is inspired by Harvest Moon...
