You've got a nice little tale going on there. The place you started seems really nice indeed.

Good luck on your journey, hope it goes well and to see it documented here :3

Sorry for the long Hiatus. I have been terribly busy and have not taken the time to set stylus to paper :(

Well as you can see here, I finally finished gathering all the supplies and started making the Knarr.

If I thought my body was sore before, oh my.... I used muscles I didn't even know I had. I was sore in places I have never felt before.

After what seemed an eternity of hammering, gluing, and stitching.... I was finally done !!!!

OR NOT.......

Seems I underestimated how much glue would be needed !!!!

I realized I was short about 10 units of bone glue.

I searched and searched through everything I had, opening every cupboard and looking in every chest....

Image

After several hours of going crazy I came to the realization that I just did not have any glue, or bones for that matter, lying around.

So I had to go on a killing spree. I killed every chicken, rabbit, boar, and deer I could find and finally got the bones together.
I even had to kill my beloved Bull named Toro.

I went to the Cauldron and boiled up some glue.

After going to glue the last few boards together to finish my project I found out some disturbing news......

20 of the 75 Ropes I used to rig the sails had fallen off and floated away due to not being glued down

I was was so upset I could not believe it. My miscounting had set me back so much time and effort.

So I raided my stockpiles and used all the hay I had, all the nettles I had, and all the taproots I had to make the allotted 25 rope (5 more had fallen off while doing all this).

Doing so I finally did it. Project complete !!!!

The Good Ship Lemon Lime was completed !!!!!

I felt so ecstatic, she was kinda ugly but still a beauty in my eyes.

I sat there in the Pink Grass just staring at my completed work and kinda felt a bit sad as a large project was now finished. But then I remembered how much more work I had to do and I got up and started at it.

As I used up all my reserves of String and Rope fixing my mistake, I decided to put off loading the Knarr for a couple days while I grew a fresh crop of Flax.

Image

I waited and waited and waited.... and only parts of it were finishing.

Hmm how strange is this ? Some grew some didn't. How strange. So, after waiting for several days and still only parts of it had flourished I decided to use my Hearth Magic and ask the dieties what was happening.

The Gods answered my question through their vessel named Fratari.
Fratari wrote:Bee skeps have a limited number of tiles per day that they can pollinate.

Per the RoB:
"Each time a crop grows to the next stage, it checks if there's a beehive within range. If it finds beehive, the time before the next stage change is reduced, and the beehive receives a usage tick. Beehives can store up to 50 uses (and noting how jorb worded it, it's likely they start will a full 50 when first created), and will regenerate 6 uses per hour. Crops using a beehive will cause honey and wax production (exact mechanics unknown), but jorb has stated there is a low level of base production of honey/wax by a hive even if it has no crops nearby." -Sevenless

you've probably used up all of the tiles the skep can produce, so some of your crops are growing faster than others.

And so once again I learned a valuable lesson AFTER I messed up rather than before.

So, after a couple more days, all the flax grew and I harvested it and made a ton of ropes.

I then set about the momentous project of loading the Knarr. About half way through, my back gave out from all the lifting. I could barely move I was in such pain.
I decided to put the move on hold for a week or so while I healed up. I just could not go any further.

Lacking ambition and quite honestly a bit of depression began to sink in. I thought to myself, why am I moving anyways ??? I had a perfectly nice little house with a
flourishing farm, a few befriended animals and more than enough work to keep me busy. I began to do a mental checklist of the pros and cons of moving and it always
came back to a single idea..... socialization. The people I had met, one lady in particular, was so nice and friendly that it made me yearn for company.

I had gone through the last little bit of cooked food I had not packed and was getting quite hungry. I debated on finding the chests of food and making a fire and cooking
but, to be honest, the thought of all that work did not appeal to me so I decided to look through my barren cabinets once again to see if I had missed packing some morsel of
food I could get by on until I could muster the energy to do some cooking.

One of the cupboards I went through had some yarrow and a few roots in it. I eyed the yarrow and wondered what it would taste like, but after smelling it I almost gagged.
So then I checked out the roots. 3 of them were Rust Roots and 3 of them were some strange root I had found in the trunk of an extremely old fallen tree.

I knew the rustroots were not edible at all so I turned my attention on the strange roots. I smelled them and they did not really smell of anything.
I gathered my nerve and licked it. It didn't really taste of anything. Kind of reminded me of a potato skin. So I gathered my strength and decided to give it a go.
I took a huge bite and began to chew it up. It was very bland and rather insignificant. After a eating the whole thing, I noticed I did not feel satiated in any way. I
was just as hungry as before I ate it. I jumped to my feet to check and see if anything else was in the cupboard when it dawned on me

I just jumped to my feet and it didn't hurt !!! My back !! What magic was this strange root ?? I ate the other two and I was completely healed up ! I felt great, better than ever !

I knew this was a sign that I was following the right path after all !!!

With my renewed energy I got back to it.

I loaded up the cart with all it could hold and took it to the Good Ship Lemon Lime where I unloaded the cart and loaded the ship.

Rinse and repeat a dozen times over and low and behold..... A fully loaded Knarr that threatened to sink if I put anything else on her.

No ... !!!

Lol, Kato you know how much I want to hear about the journey to my island and the events that befell you, I saw you had returned to the thread and rushed in only to have you stop before you got to the 'exciting' bit!

As your Queen, and I still am for the next 9 days, I feel I should command you to continue! :P

But, as I'm a good Queen, :P , I'll refrain ... but you had better post the rest tomorrow or I'm going to drop a ton of soil on your nice flat area!

So after preparing the Knarr and getting a good night's sleep I mentally and physically prepared myself for an exciting journey.

And off we went.... Setting Sail for the Promise land (or Deka as other people called it).

I tried to screenshot a small portion of the odditown map to show you where I left from but I could not get it to work.
The coordinates of my old Home base is/was at 185, -2 on the far Eastern side of the map.
