They really are the best.

Seriously, Jorb, i know you like art, but do you have to carve circular doodles into EVERY boar and bear that spawn? Doesn't it hurt them? How do they not just eat you?
Total misplay.

Snow, it has to snow, maybe not all winter, maybe not everywhere all at once but if it's winter there should be snowmen and snowball fights everywhere.

Some sort of thermal protection from clothing. Thermal effects should be increased stamina drain, energy drain and injuries as has already been suggested. Frostbite and chillblains, shivers, etc.

New ice spires appearing briefly in the winter. Heart of the woods regrowing leaves in spring, perhaps growing even more if they are left until summer or increasing in Q. Windthrows roots reappearing in Autumn. Salt pans generate faster in summer and not at all in winter.

nice ideas, but entire lakes freezing is kind of unrealistic, especially with the really massive ones.

The saltwater ocean freezes over, why not fresh water lakes?

That's what I am thinking too. In this world the largest (by volume) fresh water lake is covered by ice 5 months a year. Largest by area in Europe - a bit less time, but still is covered by ice completely in winter. Why it would not be possible in HnH?
Too old to rock-n-roll, too young to die.

I dont think the mapg could actually terraform the world in that way dynamically (I'm assuming, Idk shit about shit in that department), but it sure would be cool to see a changing landscape somehow. Anything that can change up player priorities etc

I think temperature debuffs and growing seasons are a given, I'm more curious how long one season will actually be. Like each world only lasts ~1 year, so it wouldn't make sense for the seasons to happen in real time, but a few days for a season seems too short.

I'd say each world should start in spring and switch seasons once a month, but it'll be interesting to see what the developers make of it.

The game currently converts tiles to different biomes at the moment, why would you think it would be any different to convert water to ice than it is to convert grassland to forest? Or even when you plough ground and convert it to land which can have things planted on it.

I (perhaps wrongly) recall jorb mentioning that's the biggest hindrance to implementing seasons.

Even so, color and weather filters and ambient sounds can go a long way. Maybe the leaves/flowers/roots that cover the biomes could also change accordingly. They already seem to be a separate thing with no relation to our interaction to terrain.
