I've wondered many times if making this game really was a boon to the world.

Yes, it was.

And thank you.

I'm not allowed to. I have a wife and kids and I've been told repeatedly that my existence is entirely out of obligation for my past decisions. If I try to shake things up while things are getting worse, it becomes my fault that things got worse. Every time.

what a deranged way of viewing those two posts. Anyone with a modicum of sense could tell that that particular exchange was not about the game. Clearly he isn't simply saying "play other game" to me.
Unreal how you can read too far into something ("I wish a game I liked had better communication from the devs" / "Why are positive emotions the only way people are allowed to admit something affected them?" becomes "I desperately need this particular video game right now and it's killing me IRL to not have it"), *AND* completely gloss over subtext elsewhere. Congratulations on your failed attempt at communication.

you say “deranged,” I say “deranged, but also amusing”

Shakin things up might help? Wouldn’t want to get your life in a rut when there’s a chance of escaping.

I can't claim to know your life circumstances, but perhaps you can do so within those bounds still? If you have enough free time to play Hafen, perhaps there's something new you can explore during that time as well.

It is true that we must live with our decisions but it's also important to know when they are being abused and how we can grow from them. A family is a colossal obligation that some people do not meet, but it's okay to get fresh air once in a while.

What are these obligations and what might you do instead of Hearth to unwind?
I've finding walks and brief excersize is currently taking up some of my free time, while I search for something to do. I have minimal obligations, which can suck to be honest. I must build my own purpose.
