The time of the captcha is almost over, though. Image recognition is to the point of killing them. When Apple and Microsoft can include software with a phone that can decode nearly everyone's chicken scratchings, it's not much more to figure out a captcha. Your statement was true about 7 years ago when capthcas were introduced to prevent spam and such, but technology marches forward, most captchas are still the same tech they were when they were introduced.
Yes, I would most definitely leave permanently over such a feature. I already barely play because I just can't scrounge up the money for a sub on top of my other expenses. If I waste time, it's because I choose to do so, not because some company is paranoid I might be making a few bucks off their work or, God forbig, "cheating". I have to involuntarily waste enough time waiting in lines and such at banks, DMV, and other such necessities of modern life to have my leisure time wasted.
I agree with you, but for the average Haven-playing Russian "hacker" it's still a daunting task to overcome. The botmakers here would certainly have their work cut out for them against a professional verification program, and eventually yes it will be different. But in this moment I think at least Haven would be okay with it, even benefit.
As for worth, yes captcha is obnoxious and annoying. It all comes down to what's more annoying in the end. Personally something about cheating has always rubbed me the wrong way so I'm team verification all the way.. especially in a competitive game. Hell I'm not even attached to that particular technology. I'm open to anything.

I'm serious.
That could work but be less ideal than an automated system. Just make rollbacks possible and a no abuse policy with logs of everything. Less ideal because certain people teleporting everywhere sounds like an unfair idea.
