CHAPTER 12:
THE ENDDo not go gentle into that good night,
Old age should burn and rave at close of day;
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
Though wise men at their end know dark is right,
Because their words had forked no lightning they
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Good men, the last wave by, crying how bright
Their frail deeds might have danced in a green bay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
Wild men who caught and sang the sun in flight,
And learn, too late, they grieved it on its way,
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Grave men, near death, who see with blinding sight
Blind eyes could blaze like meteors and be gay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
And you, my father, there on the sad height,
Curse, bless, me now with your fierce tears, I pray.
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I wanted to say that I failed... But I suppose it was always about the journey.
I am sorry I couldn't deliver everything that I dreamed of. That the Retreat never lived up to the ideals it has always been born from.
I guess not all stories end as we wish them to end... sometimes we're so fearful of monsters and nightmares that we forget what's inside each one of us.
And for many reasons, it is time for me to go.
(No, I was not sieged and I did not die; it's just time to go)
It has to be mentioned, however, that this would've never been possible without many of you. And for all of you that were kind, helpful and somehow a part of this story, a
big and heartfelt thank you. And I really mean it. I set out with a mission to find kindness in a world of aggressiveness and suffering. And I found both in the most surprising places, so... No. I did not fail. Thanks for everything.
Alas, the show must go on. The hearthlands will live on, ever changing and everlasting as they have always been.
The gates are open and Authority is dropping fast.
One story ends, a thousand more begin.
Farewell.
