People like the pirate hat so much both because it looks cool AND because you can't buy it anymore. Back when you could buy it, the most popular one was sombrero.

Well, they should put them back in periodically then as clearly ppl would still buy them and we do still get new players. Like, the witch hat at halloween ... and some other time for the pirate one, lol.
