It saddens me to know that this happened sooner than expected. I wish I could help in any way within my capabilities. may it be scout, forager or tank as I am b̶o̶r̶e̶d̶ ̶a̶s̶ ̶h̶e̶l̶l̶ free as of the moment and planning to wander around. Either way, I wish you God Speed on your journey.
I have vague memories of tying a woman up and throwing her in a dungeon.

:)

Well no walking was needed, as we were donated a wagon, bull and cow as well as a range of items for starting up by Holy Smokes and Gunnar <3

We continue the journey yesterday night and I'm sure Amanda will fill you in with screens from yesterday night, as I think I only took 2 as I was busy trying to move away from the area which was pretty busy.

Also thanks to Barra for messaging me about the potential sighting of our wagon, though sadly it seems it wasn't ours.

thank you. It's not too much of a big deal, just slowed things down a little, but we had expected it at some point in the journey anyway:)

I logged in last night to find our cupboard and some hides missing ....

Image

..... but as we were leaving again and Em had made some clothes it was hardly much of an issue, I gathered and butchered a few more small animals so we would have some more hides moving forward and collected some curios while waiting for the girls.

Thanks to the overwhelming generosity of Holy Smokes and Gunnar though I needn't have bothered, not only replacing our wagon and our bull but also giving us a new set of clothes each, including a brand new bat cape! :D Yay! Some much needed weapons, tools and .... a new cow, who is also with calf!

We were all totally amazed and despite our protests that it was too much and they had already done enough by helping us with a new wagon, they would hear none of it and vanished having wished us good luck with our journey. :)

It was great to be off again. We picked up Vera and the trough and headed into new territory, it soon became apparent that not only were these new cows vastly more intelligent, swifter and better impaired visually than our stolen ones, Em was also now well accustomed to her role as our driver and expertly wove the wagon in and out of the tree's, we flew onwards, happy once again and enjoying the ride ....
I kept it to myself, but, I still sort of miss our old cow, she was naughty, she ate too much and she was basically dumb but we had grown fond of each other and I can't help but wonder about her and her calf ...
As for the quartz ... I'm soooo over it, I have discovered Cinnabar! :D

Image

We stopped briefly here and there to gather supplies, Em's new bat cape flying behind her as she ran, Vera dropping a rare spider at the swamp and us chasing it around trying to catch it, they are tricky little scurriers! :D

We crossed some really beautiful areas and signs of hearthling life began to dwindle whilst wildlife and forageables were teeming! We started to look for somewhere to make camp for the night or maybe even settle. Vera randomly jumped out to check nodes and Em and I scouted around to find somewhere suitable.

It was a lovely drive, both fun and interesting conversations, well behaved cows, beautiful scenery and a renewed sense of purpose! :D

You've probably noticed ... I like the flowers. :D

our wagon, and all the cows were taken sometime today ;(

Im really sorry. Just passed by, saw messy inactive claim with a wagon. Packed all i can in that wagon and drive it away. Btw i lost you cow calf along the way but she already gave birth to another. Bearcapes(and meat) will really help and pies delicious too. And half a bucket of high q water. And 45 quartz  That was pretty careless leaving all that stuff on inactive claim. I would never did it if i knew about your mission , but by to me that was just unguarded wagon with cows and lots of useful things(i dumped the drum thou). Belonging to no one. If its not on the claim(active) then its free to take.

Claims remain inactive for a long time after being placed, so when you're travelling with a wagon and have to stop for the day, your stuff is always vulnerable. It's a known mechanic and there's no way around it. If you really thought it was abandoned you could have checked the decay state of the things inside it, or just the animals' food trough.

But what amused me most its ropes. Ropes everywhere! Plenty of ropes to untie animals from posts and tie them to wagon and myself. It like leaving the keys in your car.At least hide your ropes in your inventory when you logout. Seriously.
