Nihilism heightens the feeling of power in man. I think this is not sad.

Pretty sure what heightens the feeling of power in man is all that is good. You can't out Nietzche me.

Good does not definite what heightens the power. What heightens the power defines the good.

I was under the impression that there's at least two sides of "heightening the feeling of power in men". Are we talking "absolute good" or "personal good" here?

There is no such thing as this ''absolute good'' I think.

I completely agree, that's why I got curious why "what heightens feeling of power defines good". This may be oversimplsfying, but, as I've said above, I reckon there's two ways of heightening feeling of power: constructive (as suggested by Burinn), doing "all that is good" to embiggen (yes that's a word) yourself and your sense of power, and destructive - doing "all that is bad" to people around you to make them less powerful and therefore increase your own feeling of power relative to those people's. The second one is easier, and, if we're talking "no absolute good, only personal one" paradigm here, isn't that is what would be the logical choise? And, was that implied in that comment I quoted, about defining good?

It is quote:
Friedrich Nietzsche wrote:What is good? All that heightens the feeling of power in man, the will to power, power itself. What is bad? All that is born of weakness. What is happiness? The feeling that power is growing, that resistance is overcome.

I know Burinn is fan of this Nietzsche.

I do not study Nietzsche writings, but based on this quote and little knowledge I do have of it, I think probably you are right that he is thinking it is happiness to build up your own man or to tear down opposing men.

Most take it to mean that "what is good" is anything that gives you a feeling of overcoming a struggle or triumphing over adversity. Briefly, and loosely, speaking at least.

Don't know if it qualifies as a patch but its something to anticipate.

Can one really anticipate a thing one has been experiencing for a few weeks already? "Transition of mostly undetectable software changes from one server to another Anticipation Station", meh.

Big change that will enable other changes. Maybe not splashy, but it is large gain I think.

Large prospective gain with nothing to show at the moment, but the perspectives are great? This is a smart thing to anticipate. Smart things are usually anticipated in a quiet, well-mannered way; without flashy titles, hype trains that have no brakes and other bells and whistles.

Is the OP still with us? Could he maybe rename this thread into "FP transition into live server Anticipation Resort&Spa" or "Minor changes with great perspectives Mild Hype Ladies & Gentlemen Club"?
