Yeah. I was avoiding the problems typical the first few hours after such a patch... so much for that idea.

I wonder which of these asshats wrote the script to spam pushes until someone backed out of the world.

most production systems have monitoring that automatically restarts downed nodes. curious this doesn't. alerting of course being part of that.

loftar actually does get pinged when the server goes down. usually it wakes him up from his sleepy slumber. auto restarts could be bad because it would not give an opportunity to fix the issue.

every night server goes down you guys should change schedule for a while to make it fair for nightime players

It's not a production system. It's an unstable testing system. Otherwise you'd be correct.
