I think you can change the materials with sketches these days, not sure though.

Yes you can, just select 'change mats' on your sketchbook page and choose the part you want to change with the stone you want to change it to in your inventory.

I am not sure if it is a good thing though.
These days anyone can build tower out of gneiss or something and use 1 sketch and 1 stone to make it look like its made out of gold ore.
Back in the days it was kind of displayment of status and effort to have stone tower made out of a valuable material.

^^ Yeah I agree to some extent but I'm a hypocrite as I use them all the time to get the look I want on buildings.

I think a better way to go to avoid mistakes with the ratios would have been to have individual slots to put the mats in, like one for columns, one for body, etc but, on the other hand, it does bring in money for the devs so ... it has a good side.
