I'm literally logged into the game doing nothing right now because I have no interest in doing anything. Having the entire quality system determined by what nodes you find mining made me completely lose interest in progressing. I think a lot of other players feel similarly.

The difference is that it would have been in from the start and everyone would have progressed taking it into account. Having your last two months of work on quality invalidated by 20 minutes of mining is really really fucking stupid and hard to deal with.

jorb wrote:I am in no rush to do a world reset. Cuck-Hombre is certainly an argument for a reset, but I'd like more than an argument, and in particular I need -- or would like -- development reasons to want to do one, and I don't have that. I have no intention of rushing off to a map reset without actually improving on the map generator for one thing, and there are other things -- most importantly attempts at social order -- that I want to do before that.

Maybe consider focusing development sessions on discussing or planning some reset worthy changes, because I don't think interest is going to hold very long in this current iteration.

I have had visions of Señor Cuck-Hombre. I imagine him as a perverse, no good, sombrero-wearing cucumber. I shall draw him one day.

I think 6 months of hard core updates, will do wonders. Push the edge, then when ever a reset does occur, they can pull back, and the game be 100 times better than what we have now.

Lets take the long view. The fuck up was massive. However, every faction that could and every hermit that could mined the shit out of it. They did not stop and say hey, we need to report, lets make sure not to break the game. Nope folks went balls deep. Folks only started bitching after it was nerfed. Whats done is done, lets go crazy, test the hell out of it. Break the code, and put it back togather.

as opposed to how it was previously, where it was exactly the same, with lower numbers? you mined some clay down there as well?

At least you said "I think" properly.

I for one had nothing changed in my life, or my village life, by this update.

It's just new games being released that are fucking over my time playing H&H, though I still take great care of my cheese.

I would love to say that nothing has changed for my small camp, but truth is, we can't no longer mine iron from the node where we used to mine :( and on top of that, my main char died wednesday morning It was a sign, rollback to monday please

Outside of that, i don't see any difference.. yet :|

Lol implying reset is a viable option. Imagine those who are paying for subscription = they log in and everything they paid and their spent time is gone. The world should last as long as possible, 2,3 years.
