Part 9: of Boars and horses"Some animals are just so in your face, al you can do is punch em till they drop"
Been busy this morning, made 3 more bags for my horses, and set up a road across my south river. I am still Smelting the silver ore, but I near being done with that. Loving the amount of silver I am getting.
So with the road set up, it is time to explore this new area I can travel to often from now on. I grab a different horse then I normally do. So as I explore I spot this area with a wonderful amount of fish just jumping out of the water I just cant but stop and watch for a moment. That is when danger strikes, a boar runs around the bend in the river and attacks me. I have two options run as my horse is faster or punch it and hope I am strong enough to kill it. I keep pounding on it with my gloved fist, not stopping, till it gets up and runs, to ensure no one else might get attacked. I chase it with my horse, killing it.
I slice it up, stow the peaces I want to keep, and drop the rest into the river, saying a small prayer as I hope for the river goddess's blessing. May these boar chunks make there way to someone that needs them.
As I keep exploring and over the next hill I start to hear a beating heart, like some force is just beating with life. As it comes into view I spot the familiar sight of a Heartwood Tree. I smile as I come close and take a closer look. I dare not touch this one for I have plenty of leaves off a tree close to my home. I get closer and my horse rubs its head against the trees bark, as I reach out and feel it with my hand.

After letting the beat of the forest fill me body for a while. I start back up on my explorations, sticking to the shore as best I can to see if I spot an extra special prize. I take a turn into the river bend, and another boar angery for some reason comes at me again. I yet again knowing that not only are my chances high from the last one, but the rush of the Heartwood tree beat still flowing threw me. I punch the Boar till it falls over the shore line.

I skins and butcher doing what I did with the other one, letting the river goddess do her thing while I keep some of the peaces I could use more for myself. I have been nabbing gray clay as I find it to use after I rebuild my potters wheel. But that is something for another time. I keep on my explorations, plenty of river and lakes around hear, I do keep to the shore line grabbing the gray clay as I go. Soon I start to smell of something strong and herbal, something I know all to well, an Ancient Windthrow, the fallen tree has been my savor many a time. I picked where I live just to be close to one of these wonderful old trees. I quickly pick and chew on the root, knowing it will heal the wounds I have gained. I keep going till my map tells me I was in the area before. So I head home with a wide smile on my face.

I stow the horse back into my stables and put my clay for safe keeping and later use. I put the peaces I wanted into there right spots in my cellar and lay back and drink some tea before checking on my smelting ore.
